The Comeback Guidelines

We ask that you work alongside with us to help make this possible!

Beginning on Father’s Day Sunday, June 21st, First Baptist Church will enter PHASE THREE of our Comeback Plan. Those services will take place INSIDE our church facilities with social distancing and sanitation requirements being observed. There will be a total of four services that morning:

CLASSIC SERVICE: At 9:00 A.M. in both the Sanctuary & the Gym

CONTEMPORARY SERVICE: At 11:00 A.M. in both the Sanctuary & the Gym

The following guidelines will apply:

  • Reservations must be made for each service either on-line or by calling the Church Office (770-358-2353). Social distancing of 6 feet between attenders (except for families) will be observed. If you feel you need to wear a mask, you will not be alone. Please enter the Sanctuary through one of the two Zebulon Street doors and the Gym through the west-side double doors (under the portico).
  • If you are 65 years-old or older, please use discretion as to whether or not you should attend these services. If you have a condition that compromises your health, please wait until a safer time to attend.
  • We will check temperatures as you enter with modern devices. If you register a fever, please return home and contact your family doctor.
  • There will be no Sunday School at the church. The Sunday School lesson will be available online at 10:00a.
  • Restrooms will be open in the Annex and the Gym. We ask that you enter them no more than two at a time. Please do not enter the Children’s Building, yet.
  • There will not be a nursery provided during Phase 3 services. Families with small children may prefer to worship in the Gym.
  • Offering plates will be available in both the Sanctuary and the Gym. We appreciate all those who continue to provide for our church through online giving, mail-in offerings, or directly bringing their monies to the church.
  • Church furniture will be sanitized between services. Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the entrances/exits in the Sanctuary and the Gym.
  • Please exit by the same doors through which you entered the worship areas. Attenders will be ushered out when the gatherings are over.
