SUNDAY SCHOOL
Bible study is at the center of our church life. Each Sunday morning we meet together at 9:45 to open God's word and to discover God's truth for our lives. We also go out into the community to share God's Word in Bible study. The county jail, the local nursing home, and the English learning class all provide weekly Bible study for groups who would not normally study God's Word.
Each age group is provided for- from babies to senior adults. Adults and youth learn through a variety of methods each week. Our goal is to help each person bring their lives into alignment with God's will through practical application of His word in their daily living. Our Bible study is not just for knowledge; it's primary purpose is to change lives.
Our children are taught God's Word by experienced teachers who love them and use many different activities to meet their learning needs. Most boys and girls learn in different ways by listening, seeing, touching, thinking, constructing, experimenting, practicing, singing, verbalizing, writing, and reading. Many of these activities are used each Sunday to help children understand God's Word and how to live it.
Preschoolers are greeted each Sunday by a loving and caring teacher who is concerned for each individual child. Our preschoolers study eight basic areas throughout the year: God, Jesus, the Bible, church, family, others, self, and natural world. These concepts are taught through relationships, senses, repetition, play, doing, and learning. Preschoolers have lots of fun while learning, and they build a basic foundation of understanding that leads to faith in Jesus Christ.
